She married Albert Boyden Lamb 28 Apr 1971 in Washington, DC. Albert was born 1948. Albert is the son of Robert Keene Lamb and Helen Boyden. Albert was divorced from Janina Popenoe 19 Mar 1990 Carroll Co, NH.

In 1973 Janina and Albert, with Juno, moved to an 18th century farmhouse in Tamworth, NH. As she produced five kids, Janina became an expert in and advocate of natural childbirth and home schooling. She created Lamb and Lion Studio, a home business producing cards and posters with spritual/ecological messages. Having skipped college in her teens, in 1996 she began the adult degree program at Vermont College.
