Popenoe/Popnoe/Poppino & Allied Families

These are mostly families that had an association with Warwick Town in Orange County in the 18th and early 19th Centuries. As I worked on the Poppinos I got interested in their neighborhood and their friends and relatives. This was primarily the area between Florida Village and Mt. Eve and running south to Warwick and Amity Villages. I have tried to show connections among these families. Much of what I have written is based on published genealogies or materials in the Orange County Genealogical Society Reading Room, supplemented by some research of my own in primary sources. Unless you are satisfied with the sources indicated, don't take relationships as necessarily true. There are doubtless many errors. By putting these families on my Web site I hope descendants or genealogists unknown to me will find and be helped by them and that some will have corrections and additions that I can add for the benefit of all.. |
