Dr. Warren Poppino Spencer was the son of Dr. James H. Spencer and Martha Clyde Poppino. Warren was a prominent zoologist, receiving his MS and PhD degrees in zoology at Ohio State University. He was the author of sixty scientific papers on genetics of the fruit fly, and a member of several scientific and academic societies, including the AAAS and Phi Beta Kappa. He taught zoology at the College of Wooster from 1921 until his retirement. Dr. Warren Poppino Spencer married Ruth DeMoraes Clark on 12 June 1924 at Wooster, Wayne Co, OH. Dr. Warren Poppino Spencer died on 9 May 1969 at Lake Wales, Polk Co, FL. He was buried on 12 May 1969 at Wooster Cemetery, Wooster, Wayne Co, OH.

Charles Wesley Poppino was born in 1867. He was the son of Seth Poppino and Mary Elizabeth Junkin. Charles Wesley Poppino died in 1873.

He attended Wooster College and the Univ. of Pennsylvania Medical School. At Wooster he met his future wife, the daughter of missionaries to China. After serving in the Army as a medic from 1942 to 1946, Spencer was in private practice in New Jersey and later served as Assistant Director of the American College of Surgeons in Chicago and Medical Director of Morristown Hospital in New Jersey. In 1976 he retired to New Wilmington where he grew up. James Herbert Spencer MD was born on 13 July 1899 at New Athens, Harrison Co, OH. He was the son of Dr. James H. Spencer and Martha Clyde Poppino. James Herbert Spencer MD married Ruth Whittlesey on 29 December 1927. James Herbert Spencer MD died after 1999.1

(It is not clear who this was since Erasmus D Poppino, 34, was listed in Greenleaf, Cherokee Co, with his family. It could be Tad, except that he was said to have been only about 18 when he was killed in the 1920s) Cynthia later went to live with Georgia, the daughter of Wren Reardon. Manfred and Cynthia are buried in Skiatook, Osage Co, OK. Erasmus Manford Poppino was born circa 1848 at Indiana. He was the son of Silas Poppino and Cynthia Anne Naugle. Erasmus Manford Poppino married Cynthia A. Toler on 8 November 1871 at Sullivan Co, IN.1 Erasmus Manford Poppino died circa 1922 at Oklahoma.
